Ghost Harmonic: Codex (2015)
Project developed while employed at Barnbrook
The packaging for John Foxx's experimental ambient music project, Ghost Harmonic, took the form of a book, echoing the title ‘Codex’. The graphics are inspired by Ernst Chladni’s experiments in visualising sound, where after placing sand on a metal plate, he vibrated the plate at different pitches and drew the resulting patterns. This was translated into custom typography and a sequence of illustrations, which increased in complexity in reaction to the tracklisting.
